Please notify our staff as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This will allow us to make the appointment time available to other patients.

Cranbourne East Medical Centre is pleased to be able to provide patients with the convenience of onsite pathology services.  For pathology services, an appointment must be made with the receptionist.  Pathology services will be processed by Dorevitch Pathology. For processing times please discuss this at the time of collection.

It is Cranbourne East Medical Centre’s policy that all requests and scripts require a consultation with the doctor.

Patients are required to present their Medicare card and any concession cards (Centrelink issued Pension and Health Care card) they may have to reception upon arrival. Cranbourne East Medical Centre is pleased to be able to Bulk Bill all of our patient’s consultations. Private fees apply to overseas visitors. A copy of these fees is available at reception and advised by phone at time of booking.

Cranbourne East Medical Centre’s preferred method of communication with our patients is via telephone or in person. We will endeavour to return our patient’s phone calls/ enquiries back as soon as possible. If contact is made with the clinic through our email address, a member of staff will attend to your query and respond via telephone within a timely manner.
Cranbourne East Medical Centre is committed to providing a service with you to ensure your long-term health care. With your consent, we will include you in our reminder system so that we can contact you in relation to preventative health services appropriate to your needs. If you do not wish to be contacted via SMS, email or post as part of our patient reminder system, please advise staff accordingly.

In line with privacy legislation, Cranbourne East Medical Centre maintains a strict security with your medical records and private information along with strict confidentiality of your personal information. Only authorised members of staff have access to your information.

Car parking facilities are available at the front, including parking spaces for patients with disabilities 

Here at Cranbourne East Medical Centre we welcome and value any feedback from our patients to help improve and to keep a high level of commitment to our practice and our patients. A suggestion box is located at reception. Our team will review patient feedback on a weekly basis. We value positive and negative feedback in order to continually improve the practice. 

The practice staff members respect the rights and needs of all patients.

No patient is refused access, clinical assessment or medical treatment on the basis of gender, race,disablity, Aboriginality, age, religion, ethnicity, beliefs, sexual preference or medical condition. Provisions are implemented to ensure patients with a disability can access our services.

The practice identifies important/significant cultural groups within Our practice including non-English speaking background patients, religious grourp and those of Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander background. We endeavour to continue to develop any strategies required to meet their needs.

The practice provides respectful care at all times and is mindful of patients personal dignity. We have a plan in place to respectfully manage patients in distress.

Our practice does not currently communicate with patients via electronic means. We do not offer electronic consultations. This may change in the future. Patient safety and relevant privacy laws will be addressed when this occurs.

Practice staff and doctors should be aware of alternative modes of communication used by the disabled.

Staff and Patients using email/SMS or other forms of electronic messaging should be aware that it is not possible to guarantee that electronic
communications will be private. All personal health information or sensitive information sent by email must be securely encrypted (Refer to section 6).

When an email message is sent or received in the course of a person’s duties, that message is a business communication and therefore constitutes on official record.

Internal or external parties, Including patients may send electronic messages from patients or those of clinical significance require a response to confirm receipt and should be documented in the patient medical record if appropriate.

Fees are payable at the time of consultation.

The majority of our services are BULK BILLED for patients with a valid Medicare card.

Patients without a valid Medicare or Veterans Affairs card will be charged a private fees.

We also accept the following Health Funds for Overseas Students and Visitors:

• Allianz
• Bupa
• NIB

Your feedback is important to us. If you have any suggestions, complaints or appraisals, we have a Suggestion Box located in Reception where all your feedback/cornplaints can remain anonymous.

Alternatively, you can direct all concerns to admin@cranbourneeastmedical.com.au and we will endeavour to respond to you within 1-2 business days or as soon as we can.

We provide after  hours care for our patients who need medical attention outside our normal operating hours. Please calll Doctor Doctor at 132 660.

In the event of a medical emergency, day or night, such as chest pain, breathing difficulties or a serious accident, patients should call 000 immediately.

For the continuing management of our patient’s health we utilise a systematic reminder system to provide health promotion, preventative care and early detection of disease. You have the option of registering to receive healthcare reminders that are appropriate to your care. We generally send sms reminders for the following reasons:

Your test results have come back

You are due for 2 follow up check-up/immunisation

And any other urgent matter related to your care.

Cranbourne East Medical Centre offers you several ways to reach us in case of emergent circumstances. We don’t want to cause inconvenience to the people who are already suffering from illness and discomfort. There is a Smartphone app for android, ios and window users to ensure an easy access to the medical help.
